REGISTRATION

REQUIREMENTS

For international students from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, and Hong Kong wishing to study in Indonesia, there are some fundamental differences in the higher education system that need to be addressed. Indonesian higher education system does not have A levels or foundation courses, which implies students graduated from secondary or high school can directly apply to any undergraduate programmes in a university.


The Bachelor Degree offered at STMIK Primakara is equivalent to a Bachelor Degree with Honours in the UK, Ireland, and Europe In the Indonesian higher education system, the use of Latin honours attached to a degree refers to the level of distinction with which and academic degree has been obtained. An academic transcript will contain student’s GPA with 4.0 scale and the use of Latin honours attached to a degree.

New Student Requirements (Study Permit)
Foreign student is a student originally from outside Indonesia and studying in STMIK Primakara. Foreign Student can follow regular (4 years bachelor degree) learning activity in STMIK Primakara by fulfilling documents and the requirements below to have study permit:

  • Curriculum Vitae example*

  • Softcopy passport size 4x6 photo with red background (Formal Attire) example*

  • Softcopy of passport (only page with photo and data of passport holder & maximum 30 months before expired) example*

  • Colored softcopy of graduation certificate example*

  • Financial statement example*

  • Letter of statement (to obey academic regulations, to obey the regulation and the law in Indonesia, not involved in any political action, and not to do any paid job in Indonesia) example*

  • Report of medical examination example*

  • Letter of recommendation example**

  • Letter of acceptance example**

  • Scan of Bank/Account statement (not less than the equivalent of USD 1.500 in final balance) example or certified letter from the bank of  applicant’s sponsor which verifies that funds are available to use to study in STMIK Primakara*

Regular foreign student registration flow :

1. Create a registration form at STMIK Primakara
2. Complete the registration (Foreign New Student Requirements)
3. Return the completed form along with all supporting documents, and the original proof of purchase of the registration form to Marketing Primakara
4. Take the new student admission academic test
5. Once passed the selection, prospective students will receive a decree from STMIK Primakara
6. Prospective students must immediately request a letter of recommendation to study at STMIK Primakara
from the nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate (with acceptance letter)
7. Send the recommendation letter to STMIK Primakara to apply for a study permit to the General Director of Higher Education (DIRJEN DIKTI) as part of the study visa (VITAS) arrangement
8. STMIK Primakara submits an application for a study permit to the General Director of Higher Education (DIRJEN DIKTI).
9. STMIK Primakara submits a VITAS application letter to the Immigration Office at least 60 days before the arrival of the prospective students.
10. STMIK Primakara sends approval letters from DIKTI and the General Director of Immigration to students, and to the embassy closest to the student's place of residence.
11. Students take their VITAS (for studies, they will get a VITAS index of 316) at the nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate, and enter Indonesia with a VITAS.
12. Students report to BKHLN to receive a conversion from VITAS to KITAS to the Denpasar Immigration Office (maximum 7 days after arriving in Indonesia)
13. STMIK Primakara reports the student's whereabouts to the Bali Police to obtain a Self-Report Certificate (SKLD)

This process takes approximately 3 months.
